Birchcrest Arms & Tower Hill Apartments - 667 Elderly/Disabled Housing

The Burlington Housing Authority manages two affordable developments for seniors and people with disabilities: Tower Hill Apartments and Birchcrest Arms.

Tower Hill is a three-story building with elevator access. There are 65 total units consisting of 2 2-bedroom handicapped accessible units, 3 1-bedroom handicapped units, 58 1-bedroom conventional units and 2 studio units. There is an onsite laundry facility and community room.

Birchcrest Arms is a multi-building development consisting of 40 1-bedroom units located within 4 two-story residential buildings. A separate building contains laundry facilities as well as a community room.

Both developments are wired for telephone and cable (optional) and offer assigned parking for one vehicle (based on availability).

The rent for each of these developments is income based. Residents can expect to pay 30% of their net income for rent. Heat, hot water, cooking fuel and electricity are included with the rent.

Scattered State family housing

The Burlington Housing Authority owns 2 3-bedroom single family homes located within established residential neighborhoods in Burlington.

The rent for these units is income based. Residents can expect to pay 27% of their net income for rent. Residents are responsible for their own utilities, groundskeeping, and snow removal.

Local Units

The Burlington Housing Authority owns 2 locally managed units.

Our 1-bedroom unit is located in a local condominium development. The resident pays 30% of their net income for rent. Heat and hot water are included. The development features amenities such as a pool and tennis court.

Our 3-bedroom single-family home is located in an established Burlington neighborhood. In order to qualify the household must contain a member who is a veteran. The resident pays 30% of their net income for rent. Residents are responsible for their own utilities, groundskeeping, and snow removal.
